What I did this past week
I was going to mow the lawn on Thursday (August 27, 2009) but it rained. Later on I went to Finely's Steak House for my dad's birthday. He got a free steak dinner because it was his birthday. He also got a $2 cocktail. Mom got her usual sirloin steak dinner and I got the steak fajita. We went all the way to Kalamazoo, Mi for this about a 30 minute drive there from Paw Paw. We came home and had cake that was bought from Family Fare in Paw Paw. Of course, dad opened his presents too.
It's been raining all week and I haven't a chance to mow the lawn. It's raining today, Saturday, so I won't be able to mow the lawn. Maybe tuesday. I wanted to go to garage sales on Friday but it rained us out. Saturday, September 5th, the Lawrence Ox Roast is supposed to have garage sales throughout the town of Lawrence, MI. I hope it doesn't rain. I want to go to the garage sales instead of watching the football game of Western Michigan University vs. University of Michigan at 3:30 pm eastern on ABC. It was a tough choice but I figure I have to go. We will be getting free ox roast sandwiches on Monday at the Lawrence Ox Roast festival and see the Green Valley Boys who have been around forever.
Starting up my own home based business. I am getting excited about it. Been making plans all week. I can't seem to stop writing about it. I am going to sell worldly gifts. I ordered 25 catalogs to give away and I also ordered 100 order forms. Later I am going to get the catalog CD for $19.95 so I will have professional pictures to put on my website. I probably won't start my website until November or so. I am going to go on Ebay. I hope it isn't too expensive but it seems to be the way to go. They have paypal and everything. I talked to seven people and showed them my catalog. Five people want catalogs but nobody is buying yet. I guess this takes time. I went to St. Mary's Youth in Stock dinner. It lasted two hours. There were about 100 people there. The youth went to Nashville, Tennesee. They seemed to have a good time and did a lot of good and useful things. They painted houses, cleaned up apartments and helped rearrange library books for a 75 year old nun. They thought she was a sweet old lady.
I got an url for myspace. It is http://myspace.com/buymygifts123 I tried using crickles but it was taken already. I am planning on blogging about my gifts on myspace in November. I also found out about my twitter url today. It is http://twitter.com/crickles I am still trying to figure out myspace. I don't think I have any friends or followers on my space yet. I spent an hour on myspace today trying to write a comment of what I did today and trying to upload a picture. I kind of gave up and will try again next week. I have 8 followers on twitter. I will have to look at my email when I am at the library.
